Oklahoma State took a 16-point lead into the halftime break and led by double digits for all but a few moments in the second half to post a victory against South Dakota in the women's Cancun Challenge.
Loryn Goodwin had a stellar all-around effort with 18 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Cowgirls (5-0). Kaylee Jensen had 13 points and 10 rebounds; Mandy Coleman added 12 points and Jentry Holt closed with 10 points. The Coyotes (2-2) closed to within 12 points with just under five minutes to go, but a Goodwin steal led to a layup from Mexican native Maria Castro to push the lead to 66-52 with 4:17 left.
South Dakota had 18 turnovers and was just 3-for-5 from the free-throw line. Jaycee Bradley had 15 points for the Coyotes, and Allison Arens added 10 points and seven rebounds.
