BINGHAMTON 70, CSUN 65
Tim Rose saved his best work for last, hitting two 3-pointers in in the final three minutes, and Binghamton came back from a cold-shooting first half to top CSUN and earn third place in the Mayan Division.
The Bearcats (2-4) didn't reach double figures until the 6:41 mark of the first half as the Matadors took a double-digit lead. But fueled by J.C. Show and Thomas Bruce, Binghamton rallied quickly after halftime and had a 49-40 lead with 10 minutes left. CSUN was within a basket on a few occasions, but Rose's long shots proved critical in protecting the lead, and Show hit two free throws with 29 seconds left to provide enough margin at the end.
Show had 17 points; Bruce closed with 13 points and 10 rebounds and Fard Muhammad had 11 points.
For the Matadors, Tavrion Dawson had 23 points and five rebounds. Lyrik Shreiner added 14 points, and Micheal Warren had 12 points and six rebounds.
