Anthony Livingston scored 28 points and added nine rebounds as Texas Tech broke open a close game with Utah State, outscoring the Aggies by 26 points in the second half to win the third-place game of the Riviera Division at the Cancun Challenge.
The Red Raiders (4-1) out-rebounded Utah State (3-2) by a 35-23 margin. Livingston was 5-of-9 from 3-point range, and he was supported by Zach Smith’s 21 points and five rebounds. Texas Tech shot 54 percent from the field and 64 percent in the second half.
Utah State got 21 points and six rebounds from Jalen Moore. The Aggies shot just under 40n percent from the field and just 26 percent from 3-point range.
